Andres Felipe opened his eyes for the first time during the summer of 82 in Bogota, Colombia. At the tender age of seven his parents were informed by the school’s principal that Andres was about to get kicked out of the first grade because for more than two weeks he had been selling paper wallets during recess to his classmates.
One could have thought that with such a preamble to his life Andres would have turned out to be a prosperous business/con-man,  but reality has not been as exciting… yet.
Andres always knew he wanted to create and express stories somehow but kept it to himself.
While in high school Andres made a video for school with a friend about refugees fleeing from the farmland due to war, initially it was supposed to be support material for their presentation but eventualy it turned into a small documentary. The following year another friend joins them and together they decide to do a more ambitious video about the 1998 peace process in Colombia, they won first prize in the school’s social and science fair.

From then on he was devoted to filming stuff, his family and friends first, then experimental videos with no narrative and after many nights of playing stories in his head he finally decides to put them on paper. Writing becomes a very important pastime. A pastime that has led him to write five short scripts and one feature script which he hopes to produce and direct in the future.

Andres Felipe now works as a freelance producer and creative director in Toronto, Canada. His work and skills are used by Marketing Agencies, Corporations, Small Businesses and just about anyone that requires great video production and new media management.
